That's what is different about teachers, they have to keep distance to feel safe and they often rely on those walls that they have build, for personal power and protection.

Getting through to him seem almost impossible. Almost like strange power play where a partner who is less interested has all the power. This is biggest danger of any relationship, when you get invested all your heart and all your feelings, the other person might not be exactly on the same page or doesn't like you in exactly same way.

When you open up too much, when you talk about yourself too much, you become vulnerable, likely to get hurt and rejected by. Are you a man who doesn't like to be close? Are you a woman who is afraid of closeness. Sometimes some people are more open than others and that's why some people get hurt more often than others.
